Talent ID Camp for Aiolikos in 2023-24 Super League 2

Description of event

This is a talent identification for male players born 2006, 2005 and 2004. Following a week of evaluation, players could be selected to be on the U19 or U17 Greek professional youth league for season 2023-24. We will also offer the opportunity to be part of a residential program. The cost for this week will be 1,695 euros. This fee will include the tuition for the ID session, hotel accommodation, meals for the week and equipment for the trainings.

Q: What happens if I get selected? What is the next step?

A: If selected, player will be offered a spot for the 1st team, SL2 U19 or reserve squad.

Q: Do I have to go back home and return for pre-season at a later time?

A: This will be optional for every player as needed and depend ant on each specific players’ VISA requirements. At minimum each player will have the option to extend their stay for up to 3 months.

Q: Do I need a Visa and what type of visa do I require if accepted for the whole year (August to May)?

A: Dependant on which player pathway you will maybe selected, for every foreign player will require an Athletic VISA or Work VISA which club will help you process.

Q: Will I be able to enroll in school?

A: Each player is responsible for registering for virtual high school. The club can offer help or guidelines for each player.

Q: Is airfare included in the price of the camp?

A: No, it includes transportation land portion only.

Q: When do I need to arrive?

A: You will need to arrive on the day of the session starts and leave on the last day of your camp session. (you cannot arrive a day earlier or depart a day after unless you check in with us for customized need).

Q: What to expect as far as camp culture based on the country of the camp?

A: We provide a sports experience as well as a cultural experience, for such, participants will experience something different from home as they will be in a foreign country with a different way of living. Participants will experience the local cuisine, and will have some time to experience some tours organized by us at no additional cost.

Q: What language will be used during training sessions?

A: English.

Q: Behavior Required – Code of Conduct?

We require that each participant show respect to all staff and other players. Players will NOT be allowed to leave for any reason without getting approval from staff.  Additional rules may include the following,

  • No mobile phones may be used during training and Camp activities
  • There is no smoking, no alcohol and no drugs. Only medication prescribed by a doctor may be brought to ID Camp and such must handed to staff on arrival with instructions for usage
  • No pocket knives or weapons are permitted
  • No fighting or swearing; no stealing; no bullying, either verbal, physical or social

If a player breaks the rules of the “Code of Conduct”, the player will be sent home and all costs incurred will be met entirely and paid for immediately by the parent/guardian. To be very clear, there will be no refund of any Camp fees if your child is sent home due to Code of Conduct violations.

Q: What do I do if I have a complaint during the ID Camp and need to have something changed or corrected by the camp staff?

A: You need to talk with staff directly. If you ask for answers after the camp is over it will not help to correct the issue and to have actions done during the ID camp the earliest the camp staff knows about it the best if it is.

Q: What do I do with my money and important documents (e.g. passport, plane tickets, etc.)?

A: We are not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage of any player’s property.

Q: Who is responsible for my clothes and equipment?

During the ID camp, each participant is responsible of his own personal clothes and equipment. Each player will received training gear (1 jersey, 1 shorts, 1 pair of socks)

Q: Who is responsible for laundry service?

A: The club will wash the training gear daily. For personal use the club will assist the players to a public washing fold service, at the players’ cost.

Q: Do you provide transportation to and from the area airports?

A: Yes. Inform us about your flight details at least 5 days prior to the event.

Q: Can I leave the camp?

A: At no time are players are allowed to leave the campus premises either by walking or vehicle. Players who wish to leave campus must be properly authorized, signed in and out, and have written permission.

Q: What happens if I have to cancel at the last minute?

A: In case of a last minute cancellation, we will offer of 50% refund.

Q: Is there a registration deadline?

A: It is always a good idea to get your application in as soon as possible. Space is limited.

Q: What happens if there is bad weather?

A: We will make the proper adjustments to the schedule.

Q: How are the players supervised when they are not on the fields?

A: All staff stay on campus during the entire time the programs are in session. The staff will be eating in the same cafeteria and will also be sleeping in the same hotel as the participants. If there is a problem, a Staff member is always easily accessible.

Q: How many players stay in each room?

A: 2-4 players

Q: Are the rooms air-conditioned?

A: Yes

Q: How many meals per day will the players receive?

A: Three meals. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Q: Do you have special meals based on different diet?

A: Yes. Please communicate any food allergy a week prior to the event.

Q: Do players need a medical form?

A: Yes. Please send your latest vaccination form and physical less than 12 months old.

Q: What happens if a player gets ill during the week of the ID Camp?

A: We will provide the outmost care. We will isolate the athlete to protect the other participants.

A: We will provide the outmost care.
